Location:
Pend Oreille County is located in Northeastern Washington State, 40 miles northeast of Spokane, Washington. It’s bordered by Canada’s British Columbia Province and by Idaho State.

  • Pend Oreille River (bass fishing, bird watching, boating, wildlife viewing)
  • Pend Oreille County Historical Society Museum (Newport)

Tourism facts and figures:
In 2006, Pend Oreille County generated $44,000.00 in hotel taxes, an 8.6% increase over the previous year. Visitors to the county spent $21.5 million in 2006 according to the State of Washington Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development (CTED). Local tax receipts totaled $1.2 million. The number of tourism jobs in the county averages 320.
